I hadn’t played a sport since college when a neighbor talked me onto a pickleball court in Revere. I was the slowest person there and I loved it anyway. Five years later I play three nights a week, and I still remember how lost I felt on day one: the scoring, the two-bounce rule, and the unwritten etiquette of open play.
On our calls we’ll sort out what actually matters for a beginner: a paddle that won’t break the bank, the handful of rules that trip everyone up, and where to find beginner-friendly open play near you.
