Rediscovering Piano Without Sheet Music: Introduction & Mindset
For anyone returning to piano after classical training, or wanting to explore piano without relying on sheet music.
I was a classically trained pianist for well over a decade as a kid. I didn’t always love piano, as it was initially an activity imposed onto me by my parents. But as I progressed into early adulthood and beyond, I found that I kept coming back to piano as a source of expression, a way to connect and entertain friends and family, and just to have fun playing music that I personally find beautiful or enjoyable!
I’ve also since branched out into arranging songs that are dear to me, and learning to play by ear. I’d love to be your buddy if it means we can put more music out there in the world, and if it’ll help you claim (or reclaim) the gift of music for yourself.

Start or pick up piano using chord sheets rather than classical notation, then make the music your own.
